The first stage of environmental studies for the initial state has been completed.

The first stage of environmental studies for the initial state has been completed as part of the Project "Remediation of polluted areas in the area of the former ZCH "Zachem" in Bydgoszcz in order to eliminate health and environmental hazards, including the Natura 2000 area of the Lower Vistula Valley and the Baltic Sea.

This stage consisted in carrying out soil and earth tests, in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of the Environment of September 1, 2016 on the method of assessing land surface contamination, in the designated remediation area of 26.9 ha. The submitted reports on the results of soil and soil tests indicate the presence of some of the tested pollutants in amounts exceeding their permissible levels specified in the above-mentioned Regulation of the Minister of the Environment of September 1, 2016 for the III group of lands. These results predict the presence of pollutants in groundwater, which will be tested as part of the second stage of the task and confirm the legitimacy of the Project implementation by this Authority within its competences.
