“Remediating contaminated sites in the vicinity of the former ‘Zachem’ Chemical Plant S.A. in Bydgoszcz with intent to eliminate health and environmental hazards, including those affecting the Vistula River Valley in the Lower Course and Baltic Sea Nature 2000 Area” is a project under delivery in Bydgoszcz, in the negative environmental impact zone of one of the most hazardous local facilities – the “Zielona” waste landfill complex. In administrative terms, the remediation area is located in the Kujawy and Pomerania voivodship, Bydgoszcz county, urban City of Bydgoszcz.

The zone itself is located east of the former Chemical Plant in the overall direction of the River Vistula, approximately 7 km from the city centre. The remediated soil-and-aquatic environment is approximately 0.27 km2 in size, over twice as large as the Old Market Square in Bydgoszcz.
