Drilling of wells and piezometers completed

On January 14, 2020, the technical acceptance of one of the most important tasks carried out under the Project entitled "Remediation of polluted areas in the area of ​​the former ZCH "Zachem" in Bydgoszcz in order to eliminate health and environmental hazards, including the Natura 2000 area of ​​the Lower Vistula Valley and the Baltic Sea. As part of the task "Execution of a geological works design and drilling of intercepting and injection wells", 4 intercepting wells and 3 injection wells were built, which ultimately, together with the pipeline network and the groundwater pre-treatment unit, will constitute a system of the future innovative remediation installation. Also, 16 observation piezometers were drilled, which will be used, among others, for to control the effectiveness of the remediation process. Groundwater samples will be taken from these wells in February 2020 for laboratory tests. The results of chemical analyzes will be known in March 2020.
